Outta This World

This photo provided by NASA looks crazy at first i didn't think it was real it looks more like a trippy painting.
Captured by NASA's Hubble telescope, this image shows a pillar of star birth, three light-years high, depicting how scorching radiation and fast winds from from super-hot newborn stars in the nebula are shaping and compressing the pillar, causing new stars to form within it.
The colors correspond to the glow of oxygen (blue), hydrogen and nitrogen (green), and sulfur (red). Published: 04/26/2010 04:00:00
